Route Difficulty Level
The following is a a general guide to the route levels. Some routes fall slightly outside of these descriptions but have been graded based on an overall feel of the route. Speed is not a consideration here just the route distance, feet climbed in total and the difficulty of any hills on the route
Level 1 – Easiest routes with a low level of climbing/distance. Usually under 40 miles with less than 2000 feet of climbing
Level 2 – some climbing or shallow hills involved . Usually between 40-50 miles with around 2000-2500 feet of climbing.
Level 3 – As level 2 but can involve steeper climbs or slightly further in distance.
Level 4 – Further distances and more climbing/hills. Usually between 50-70 miles with above 3000 feet of climbing
Level 5 – The hardest routes with lots of climbing and hills or just a few exceptionally difficult climbs. Can be any distance
Routes marked with the suffix * represent the harder routes in that level
